Terms of Service
Last updated October 12, 2026
The short version
- ResumeAI helps you write resumes with AI. You own your content, and you're responsible for checking it before you use it.
- AI work costs credits. Subscriptions add credits every period and renew until you cancel them in your store account.
- Credits have no cash value and are lost when you delete your account.
- Don't misuse the Service or upload other people's data without permission.
These terms are an agreement between you and Verxion (“we”, “us”) about the ResumeAI app and website (the “Service”). By using the Service you accept them. If you don't agree, please don't use it. Our Privacy Policy and Refund Policy are part of these terms.
1. Who can use it
You must be at least 16 years old, and old enough to accept these terms where you live. If you use the Service for an employer or another organization, you confirm you're allowed to accept these terms for it.
2. Your account
You can start as a guest. To download resumes you sign in with Google or Apple. Keep access to that account secure. You're responsible for what happens under your account. Guest data is tied to the app installation, and you may lose it if you uninstall the app or clear its data before signing in.
3. What the Service does
ResumeAI uses AI to build a profile from information you provide, and to write and lay out resumes for the countries you choose. Country conventions are guidance based on common practice, not legal or career advice, and employers may expect something different. We may add, change or remove features over time.
4. Your content
You keep all rights to the information you provide and the resumes produced for you (“your content”). You give us a limited licence to store, process and transmit your content, including to our AI provider, only to provide the Service to you. This licence ends when you delete your content or your account, except for copies we must keep by law. We don't use your content to train AI models.
You confirm that:
- the information you provide is about you, or you have permission to use it;
- you have the right to let us read any website or file you import;
- you'll review every resume for accuracy before using it. AI output can contain mistakes, and you're responsible for what you send to employers.
5. Acceptable use
Don't:
- use the Service to create false or misleading credentials, or to impersonate someone;
- upload content that's illegal, infringing, or that you don't have the right to use;
- use website import to access sites you're not allowed to, or to target private or internal systems;
- interfere with, overload, probe, reverse-engineer or scrape the Service, or get around credit limits or security measures;
- resell the Service or use it to build a competing product;
- break the usage policies of our AI provider, OpenAI.
6. Credits, subscriptions and purchases
- Credits. AI actions, such as writing a resume, applying a change you ask for or importing your profile, use credits. The app shows the current cost before you spend. Styling by hand, editing text yourself and downloading are free. New accounts get free starter credits once.
- Subscriptions. Weekly and monthly plans add a set number of credits at the start of each billing period. They renew automatically at the price shown in the store until you cancel. Cancel at least 24 hours before renewal in Google Play (Payments & subscriptions) or your Apple ID settings (Subscriptions). After cancelling you keep your credits, but no new credits are added.
- Credit packs. One-off purchases that add credits to your balance. They don't renew.
- Nature of credits. Credits are a limited licence to use AI features. They have no cash value and can't be transferred, sold or exchanged for money. Unused credits stay in your account while it's open and are lost if the account is deleted or terminated.
- Failed work. If a resume, change or import fails on our side, its credits are refunded to your balance automatically.
- Payments. Purchases are processed by Google Play or the App Store under their terms, and they charge your payment method. Refunds are covered by our Refund Policy.
- Price changes. We may change prices or credit costs. Changes to a subscription's price apply from your next renewal, after notice from the store as its rules require.
7. Our property
The Service, including its software, design, country specifications and branding, belongs to Verxion and its licensors. These terms don't give you any rights to it beyond using the Service as intended.
8. Third-party services
The Service relies on third parties such as Google, Apple, RevenueCat and OpenAI. Their own terms apply to how you use their services, and we're not responsible for them.
9. Ending your use
You can stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or close accounts that break these terms or put the Service or other users at risk. Where reasonable, we'll tell you first. If we close an account without a good reason under these terms, we'll refund unused paid credits as the law requires.
10. Disclaimers
The Service is provided “as is” and “as available”. As far as the law allows, we don't promise that it will be uninterrupted or error-free, that AI output will be accurate or complete, or that using it will get you an interview or a job.
11. Limitation of liability
As far as the law allows, Verxion isn't liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for lost profits, opportunities or data. Our total liability for any claim about the Service is limited to the larger of the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, or USD 50. Nothing in these terms limits liability that can't be limited by law, or your rights as a consumer under the law of your country.
12. Apple App Store
If you got the app from Apple's App Store:
- these terms are between you and Verxion, not Apple, and Apple isn't responsible for the app or its content;
- Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for the app;
- if the app doesn't conform to any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple and Apple will refund the purchase price of the app, if any. Apple has no other warranty obligation;
- Apple isn't responsible for any claims about the app, including product liability, legal compliance or intellectual property claims;
- Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms and may enforce them against you.
13. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. We'll change the date at the top and, for significant changes, tell you in the app or by email before they take effect. If you keep using the Service after that, you accept the new terms.
14. Law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of the place where Verxion is established, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. If you're a consumer, you also keep the protection of the mandatory laws of your country and can bring claims in your local courts. Before going to court, please contact us. Most problems can be solved quickly.
